Schools and colleges

The organization has many years of tradition in working with youth groups of volunteers within the Global Village program. During the period 2013 – 2019, over 100 students and pre-school teachers from international schools and colleges actively participated in the project.

October 2013, a team of 25 volunteers from Dhahran High School (DHS), Saudi Arabia;
May 2014, a team of 15 volunteers from the Anglo-American School in Sofia (AAS), Bulgaria;
May 2014, a team of 16 alumni, Bulgaria;
May – June 2014, a team of 18 volunteers from Leysin American School (LAS), Switzerland;
October 2014, a team of 22 volunteers from The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) , Switzerland;
May – October 2013/4: over 20 volunteers from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), Bulgaria.

Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village Volunteering Program is based on short trips that allow all volunteers to experience the authentic spirit of another culture and to tap into the lives of local people while helping communities in need have safe and accessible housing.
